Within the Steamgear Trading Company there are multiple roles that keep the Company going. Each role is as important as the other, as with many things teamwork is key to getting the biggest profit. Every Goblin will be payed a fair share of the profit made with each mission.
The leader of the Company is Lord Buzzek Steamgear, you will obey his command and treat him with respect, however he is mostly busy with trading in the Undermine which makes his son Draxle lead most expeditions.
During a mission it is very important to follow orders and stay together, but most important is to have fun!
Keep in mind that not every position is always open, this is to balance out the roles within the guild. If you wish to apply head down to the forums and drop a post in the Application section!
Every job has a few requirements, don’t let this scare you off now, these requirements have been set in order to let you know what you will be up to and give you an idea of how to act within the Company. What is most important is to have fun however we do wish for you to have a mature attitude and to have respect for your guild mates. We tolerate no metagaming or lolling during RP events. Be sure to head to the forums if you have any questions.
Below are the five jobs you can apply for, choose the one that fits your character best!
Being a trader means you need to be able to maintain a respectful attitude to the customer as well as to the rest of your crew.
Screwing up in front of a customer might damage the Company’s reputation and reduce our income, one does not simply become a trader!
Mature respectful attitude.
Economic and diplomatic knowledge.
The Craftsman will be creating anything the Company needs, Craftsman can be any profession.
It is a simple but important job. In order to keep the Craftsmen supplied the Company will go on supply runs or gather runs to get the materials the crafters need.
Craftsmen is a good job to start out as within the Company.
Skill in at least one profession.
The Navigator must know the world map and understand vehicles and their engines.
You will be in charge of transportation, this means drawing out a route to our destination and figuring out how many cargo we can bring on board.
The Navigator also keeps inventory, this means that the Navigator keeps check off that we have everything we need for our mission.
Maximum allowed number of crashed: 53.
Fun attitude, able to take leadership sometimes.
The Merc is the backbone of the Company, if you enjoy slashing, crushing or stabbing then this is the place for you!
The Merc can be hired out by the Company to other guilds, Merc’s also guard the merchandise while on trading missions or guard HQ.
Respectful attitude to your crew, willing to protect them from anything.
Smuggler is a dangerous job, you will be going on runs with the Master Smuggler of the Company.
These runs mostly involve getting ‘cargo’ from one place to another, or breaking in to a building and ‘relocating’ precious items.
Guile (Being stealthy)
Knowledge of the underworld.
Black Market trading skills.
